Breathwork - Information

Waiver Form
If this is your first time participating in an Ishka breathwork session, please read and sign our waiver form:

(We also have printed copies available to sign on arrival at the session)

If you have any of the health conditions listed on the form, it is vital that you get in touch before the session to discuss.

Any concerns or unsure? Please just get in touch for a chat and we can talk through it with you.

What to Expect?

  • We create a friendly, supportive and safe space - with each step of the session explained and questions welcomed

  • We provide yoga mats, eye masks, pillows and blankets

  • You will be guided by your facilitator each step of the way

  • Session outline:

  • - Meet other participants

  • - Learn and practice breathing exercises as a group

  • - Guided movement to prepare for the breathwork

  • - Lie down and get comfortable on your yoga mat

  • - Together we breathe - with music and drum creating an immersive experience

  • - Guided meditation and visualisations encourage inner reflection

  • - Time to rest and simply 'be' - with sound, voice and energy work supporting your relaxation

* Breathwork is best done lying down, however if this is not comfortable you can be seated on a chair, please request this on arrival

What to Wear?

Please wear comfortable, loose, warm clothing and thick socks, as we will be barefoot in the space.

What to Bring?

Please bring some water to drink.

Everyone is provided with an eye mask, yoga mat, blanket and pillow... but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer or would like extra warmth and comfort (recommended if you think you might get cold when lying down for a long period of time!).

If you would like to add something to the shared altar you are welcome to, such as a stone, keepsake or small token (this will be returned to you afterwards).

Arrival time

To create a calm, quiet space, we kindly ask that you arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the session to get settled in.

Once the session has begun, we aren’t able to admit late arrivals as we’ll already be moving into a relaxed and centred state together.

Setting an Intention for the Session

It’s recommended to have an intention for the session, such as;

  • Something you’d like to release or let go of

  • A way you’d like to feel (ie relaxed, energised, focused)

  • A personal issue you’d like insight on

Just notice what comes up for you - there’s no pressure, whatever feels right is perfect.

Reiki

Reiki is a gentle type of energy work that helps your body relax and restore balance. You’ll receive Reiki before, during, and after the session - no action is needed on your part.

If you’re not comfortable receiving Reiki, please let us know beforehand.

Cancellations

7 days to 24 hours before – no refund, but you’re welcome to move your booking to a future event

We understand that life happens, and we’ll always do our best to be fair while keeping our circles sustainable.
